Wanna Play
This artwork features a young wolf pup lying on a rocky surface besides a body of water.
The pup has a thick, fluffy coat with hues of gray and tan, indicative of its soft, downy fur. It's eyes are pensively cast downwards toward the water and turtle, with a hint of curiosity and contemplation in its expression. It's paws are extended forward, with delicate details showcasing each individual digit and pad.
Below the pup on a lower rock, closer to the water, there is a red-eared slider turtle. The turtle is in mid-motion, displaying its textured skin and patterned shell. It's mouth is open, suggesting that it may be interacting and taunting the pup knowing that he can easily slide into the safety of the water. You can almost hear the turtle defiantly asking "Wanna Play?" The water around the turtle is depicted with ripples and reflections, giving a sense of movement and natural ambiance to the scene.
Both animals are rendered with a leud of realism that captures the fine details of their respective species, from the fur texture of the pup to the scales and shell of the turtle. The background is simple, using a gradient from the blue sky above to the earthy tones of the rock, allowing the focus to remain on the two creatures and their interaction.
The original painting is 24"H x 20"W x 1.5"D on gallery wrap canvas.
